Hokuʻs ʻApelila Makana

This month, we collaborated with two Oʻahu small businesses:

@PrettyPuaTings on Instagram

Mahuahua Designs

Our intention with this box was to uplift our moʻolelo that is passed down through generations in many styles. One being hula.

Inside this box, we have a towel (coral or grey) that showcases the proper ʻōlelo hawaiʻi names for instruments used during a performance. Furthermore, we have included forever pua's that symbolize the types of flowers that adorn our dancers during performances.

Hokuʻs Pepeluali Makana

For our first box, we have decided to honor ʻōlelo hawaiʻi month by collaborating with companies that continue to perpetuate the language.

Actions of Aloha

Oaom LLC

With the intention of perpetuating the language, we included different ways to incorporate ʻōlelo hawaiʻi in your everyday lives.
